Challenge Overview
Recreate the homepage of a famous website (like Apple, Google, or Notion) while maintaining the visual design elements. Focus on structure, layout, and aesthetic details without diving into content or interactivity.
Actionable Steps & Guidance:
Choose the Website:
Pick a website that inspires you, preferably with a sleek, modern homepage. Analyze how the homepage is laid out — from hero sections to footer details.
Study Layout & Structure:
Break down the sections: How is the content structured? Is there a prominent hero section with large imagery? Note the grid system used to align elements and replicate it in your design tool.
Emulate Visual Elements:
Focus on replicating the aesthetic details — typography, color palette, and spacing. Make sure to mimic the balance of visuals and text. Experiment with contrast to make important elements pop.
Recreate Key Sections:
Start by recreating the navigation bar, hero section, and footer. Once those elements are accurate, move on to other sections like product cards, testimonials, etc.
Add Your Touch:
While it’s a replica, think about how you could improve the design. Can you make the header more interactive? Maybe a more vibrant color scheme or additional imagery would enhance the layout.
