Project Overview

BREATHE - MENTAL WELLNESS COMPANION APP THE PROBLEM: Most wellness apps create more anxiety than they relieve. 67% of users abandon them within a week because they feel clinical, overwhelming, and guilt-inducing with streak counters and forced check-ins. MY SOLUTION: A gentle mental wellness companion that feels like a trusted friend, not a clinical tool. KEY DESIGN DECISIONS: Progressive Color Psychology: Each screen uses research-backed colors. Peach reduces anxiety (Screen 1 welcome), sage green promotes reflection (Screen 2 tracker), sky blue enables calm action (Screen 3 activities), and lavender encourages openness (Screen 4 community). Glassmorphism: Frosted glass effects create psychological "breathing room" and depth without harsh boundaries. Zero Pressure: No streaks, no forced check-ins, no guilt. Just emoji-based mood selection, optional skip button, and positive framing. Anonymous Community: Screen 4 lets users share gratitude anonymously. Research shows 78% more authentic sharing without names. Heart reactions instead of likes. Smart Navigation: Screen 1 (check-in) has no nav bar—it's a focused daily ritual. Screens 2-4 have full navigation for exploration. FEATURES: Daily mood check-in (10 seconds, emoji-based) Visual mood tracking with positive insights Wellness activities: breathing (5min), journaling (10min), meditation (15min) Anonymous gratitude wall ACCESSIBILITY: WCAG 2.1 AA compliant. 44px+ touch targets. Dyslexia-friendly fonts. Color + text labels (not color-only). Designed for neurodivergent, color-blind, and motor-impaired users. WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE: Warm pastels (not typical blue/green wellness apps). Multi-color approach helps instant location recognition. Anonymous community solves loneliness without social comparison. No dark patterns—user control at every step. TECHNICAL: iPhone 14 Pro (390×844px). Figma design. Complete design system. This design treats users as whole people, not data points. Every screen invites rather than demands, supports rather than judges. Designed for Wooble UI/UX Challenge | 4 key screens | Research-backed UX
