Project Overview
During my internship at VisionGrid, I had the incredible opportunity to design a user-friendly virtual tour experience for a museum. This app was intended to create an interactive and educational experience for users, allowing them to explore museum exhibits remotely, as well as providing in-depth information on the various pieces of art and historical artifacts. The primary goal was to make the museum’s collection accessible to everyone, no matter their location, while providing a highly immersive experience. To achieve this, I focused on creating an interface that was simple and intuitive for all ages, with touch-based navigation to explore each exhibit in detail. Key features of the design included interactive maps, a zoom feature for close-up views, and a voice guide option to explain the significance of each artifact. I worked closely with museum curators to ensure that the content was accurate, engaging, and educational. Throughout this project, I learned a great deal about designing for accessibility and creating an experience that felt just as real as an in-person visit. This project was particularly exciting as it allowed me to combine my passion for design with user experience research, ensuring that the app catered to diverse needs, from casual visitors to educational institutions.
