Overview
ANTI-FEED began with a tension I couldn't ignore: we are more connected than ever, yet often less present with the people and world around us. We scroll through experiences instead of having them, postpone difficult conversations, and sometimes carry personal struggles silently.
I explored the gap between digital connection and meaningful connection, looking at how technology, offline experiences, community and wellbeing could work together rather than against each other. The breakthrough was to stop treating technology as the enemy.
ANTI-FEED is a technology ecosystem designed to give people reasons to leave the feed. Its Anti-Feed replaces endless content with possibilities; Life Mode helps people choose what they need in the moment; Human Experiments turn the idea into a recurring cultural movement; and digital communities provide a bridge for people who cannot or are not ready to participate offline. Mental-health pathways are integrated so people can talk, connect and access appropriate support when needed.
The biggest challenge was avoiding the obvious “digital detox” territory and instead creating a brand that is optimistic, experiential and culturally relevant.
What I learned
I learned that originality often comes from reframing the problem rather than inventing more features. Instead of asking how to get people off technology, I saw what technology could do to help people experience more of life. I also learned to design the brand as a behaviour system, not just a visual identity, so the product, campaigns, experiences and metrics all reinforce the same idea.
