Submission and IP Policy

This Submission and IP Policy explains who owns the work you submit through Wooble — challenge submissions, project uploads, portfolio content, and related materials ("Submissions") — and what rights Wooble and hiring companies have to use them.

This policy supplements, and is incorporated into, the Wooble Terms of Service. Where this policy addresses Submissions specifically, it controls; the Terms of Service govern everything else.

You retain full ownership of, and all intellectual property rights in, every Submission you create and share through Wooble. Submitting work to a challenge, a job application, or your public profile does not transfer ownership to Wooble or to any company.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to submit the work — for example, that it is your own, or that you have permission to share any third-party material it includes.

By submitting a Submission, you grant Wooble a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, host, reproduce, and display it for the purposes of operating the Services — including showing it on your public profile, attaching it to your applications, issuing verifiable certificates of participation, and having it evaluated against a challenge brief (directly or through reviewers).

This license lasts for as long as the Submission remains associated with your account, subject to the retention and deletion terms in our Privacy Policy.

When you submit to a challenge or role hosted by a company, you also grant that company a limited, non-exclusive license to review, evaluate, and internally discuss your Submission as part of its hiring process.

This license does not, by itself, give the company any right to use, publish, sell, or otherwise commercially exploit your Submission beyond evaluating you as a candidate. A company that wants broader rights — for example, to use your work in a shipped product — must ask you directly and agree separate terms with you; Wooble does not grant that on a company's behalf.

Some challenges you see on Wooble — for example, hackathons run on Devfolio, MLH, or similar platforms — are hosted elsewhere, and your participation there is governed by that platform's own terms. When you additionally submit your work on Wooble for recognition and a verifiable record, the licenses in sections 3 and 4 apply to what you submit here.

Some challenge briefs contain a company's unreleased or proprietary information. Where a brief is marked confidential, you agree to use it only to complete that challenge and not to share, publish, or reuse it elsewhere.

You can request removal of a Submission from your public profile at any time. Removing a Submission does not withdraw it from an application or evaluation already in progress with a company, and Wooble may retain a record where needed for certificate verification, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
