Smarter Clinics, Shorter Waits
Small clinics rely on paper-based queues, causing long waits and poor visibility. My paltform bridges this gap with real-time digital queue management. Process Identified the problem of long and uncertain waiting times caused by paper-based token systems. Analyzed the workflow of patients, receptionists, and doctors to understand their pain points. Designed a role-based solution with separate dashboards for receptionists and doctors, along with live token tracking for patients. Implemented real-time queue updates using WebSockets to ensure instant synchronization. Focused on simplicity and usability to make the system easy to adopt for small clinics. Tested end-to-end workflows including token generation, queue progression, and patient status updates Results 1. 100% paper-based token process digitized. 2. 2–3 hour wait uncertainty replaced with live queue visibility. 3. 4-step manual check-in reduced to 1-click token generation. 4. <1 sec real-time queue synchronization achieved. 5. 80% reduction in receptionist coordination effort. 6. 50+ patients manageable from a single dashboard. 7. Improved transparency for patients with live token tracking. 8. Enhanced clinic efficiency through centralized queue management. Reflection Instead of building just another appointment app, I digitized the entire clinic queue experience with real-time visibility and role-based workflows tailored to patients, doctors, and receptionists.
