QueueCure – Real-Time Patient Queue & Reception Management System

Clinics often rely on manual registration and verbal queue updates, creating long wait times, confusion, and extra work for reception staff. Patients have little visibility into their queue status, while staff struggle to coordinate patient flow efficiently. QueueCure was built to digitize patient registration, provide real-time queue tracking, and improve communication between receptionists, doctors, and patients through a centralized queue management system. Process I mapped the patient journey from check-in to consultation and identified pain points for receptionists, doctors, and patients. I designed a real-time queue architecture, built a reception dashboard, implemented patient registration and queue tracking, and added validation for common edge cases. Multiple iterations focused on usability, speed, and reliability. I then used Playwright automation and manual testing to verify workflows, capture screenshots, and identify issues before deployment. Results QueueCure delivers a working end-to-end patient queue management system with digital registration, real-time queue visibility, and streamlined reception workflows. The platform reduces manual coordination, keeps queue information synchronized across users, and improves transparency for patients. Automated testing validated core workflows and edge cases, demonstrating the feasibility of deploying the solution in real healthcare environments. Reflection If given more time, I would conduct usability testing with clinic staff and patients to collect real-world feedback and measure time savings. I would add appointment scheduling, SMS/WhatsApp notifications, analytics dashboards, and AI-powered wait-time predictions. I would also implement role-based access controls, multi-clinic support, and deploy the platform in a live healthcare environment to evaluate operational impact and gather data for future improvements.
