CareFlow Queue
Many outpatient clinics still rely on paper tokens and manual queue management, leading to long waiting times, poor communication between receptionists and doctors, and no real-time visibility for patients. This results in inefficient patient flow, increased workload for hospital staff, and a poor patient experience. Process We designed and developed CareFlow Queue, a digital outpatient queue management system that replaces manual token-based workflows with a real-time, role-based platform. The system allows receptionists to register patients, doctors to manage consultations, patients to track queue status on a public display, and administrators to monitor hospital performance through analytics. Results -Successfully digitized the outpatient queue management workflow. -Built 4 integrated modules: Reception Dashboard Doctor Consultation Terminal Public Display Analytics Dashboard -Enabled real-time patient tracking and queue updates. -Improved visibility for receptionists, doctors, and patients through a unified platform. -Replaced manual token management with an organized digital workflow. -Designed a responsive interface with Light and Dark mode support for a better user experience. Reflection If given more time, I would integrate the system with a real backend and database, implement user authentication, add appointment booking, send SMS/email notifications for queue updates, and use AI to predict waiting times based on patient flow. I would also conduct user testing in a real clinic to refine the interface and improve accessibility.
