Clinic receptionists face high administrative overhead and booking race conditions, while patients endure anxiety due to inaccurate, non-ticking wait-time estimates and non-synchronized display screens. Process 1.System & Event Mapping Designed the sequence flow for WebSocket event listeners and handlers to map real-time updates between the clinic console, public display, and server without lag. 2.Concurrency & Fail-Safe Engineering Configured atomic MongoDB transactions to eliminate duplicate tokens and built a 50ms delay auto-retry handler to resolve database write collisions under high loads. 3.Algorithm Design Developed a rolling-average calculation using actual appointment durations (excluding short/long outliers) to replace arbitrary wait-time estimations with real data. 4.Client-Side Real-Time Rendering 5.Data Privacy & Validation Integration Results Reduced Patient Anxiety: Dynamic, localized wait countdowns provided clear waiting expectations, eliminating patient confusion and verbal status requests. Optimized Staff Productivity: The "Call Next Token" flow reduced check-in actions to a single button click, decreasing manual intake effort. HIPAA Compliant Privacy: Safeguarded patient information on public display screens by masking phone numbers and names, showing only token counts and departments. Reflection Implement Horizontal Socket Scaling (Redis Adapter) Integrate SMS / WhatsApp Notification Services Enhance Wait-Time Predictions with Machine Learning Introduce Offline-First Receptionist Support
