QueueCure Smart — Smart Hospital Queue Management System
Hospitals and clinics often face long waiting queues, inefficient appointment tracking, and a lack of transparency for patients. Patients are frequently unsure about their appointment status and estimated waiting time, while staff spend significant time managing schedules manually. QueueCure Smart was built to provide a centralized system for appointment booking, queue tracking, and patient management, improving efficiency and reducing confusion for both patients and healthcare providers. Your Process Process I started by identifying common challenges in healthcare appointment systems through research and analysis of existing workflows. The key pain points included long waiting times, lack of queue visibility, and manual appointment management. I designed user flows and wireframes focused on simplicity and accessibility. After evaluating multiple layouts, I developed a responsive full-stack application that allows patients to book appointments and monitor queue status. Throughout development, I refined the interface to reduce complexity, improve navigation, and ensure compatibility across devices. Testing helped identify usability issues, leading to several iterations before the final deployment. Results QueueCure Smart successfully provides an end-to-end appointment and queue management experience. The platform enables appointment booking, queue tracking, and centralized patient management through a responsive interface. The project demonstrates full-stack development skills, responsive design implementation, and practical problem-solving for healthcare workflows. The application was successfully deployed and is accessible for testing and demonstration. Reflection Given more time, I would add real-time notifications, SMS or email appointment reminders, and predictive waiting-time estimation. I would also conduct formal usability testing with healthcare professionals and patients to gather quantitative feedback. Future improvements could include analytics dashboards, role-based access control, and integration with existing hospital management systems.
