Queue Cure Live – Smart Hospital Queue Management System

Hospitals and clinics often face long waiting queues where patients do not know their position in the queue, estimated waiting time, or when they will be called for consultation. This creates confusion, overcrowding, and poor patient experience. We identified the need for a smart queue management system that provides real-time patient tracking, wait-time prediction, and consultation monitoring to improve hospital workflow and patient satisfaction.. Process We started by analyzing common problems faced in clinics, such as long waiting times and lack of transparency in patient queues. We designed a dashboard that allows reception staff to add patients, assign consultation times, and manage the queue efficiently. Using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Firebase, we implemented real-time queue tracking, automatic token generation, countdown timers, patient history management, and analytics. Multiple tests were performed to ensure accurate wait-time calculation and smooth patient flow. Results The system successfully provides real-time patient queue management, accurate waiting time prediction, live consultation tracking, and cloud-based patient record storage. It improves transparency for patients, reduces waiting confusion, and helps clinics manage patient flow more efficiently. The dashboard provides useful analytics such as waiting patients, completed consultations, average wait time, and operational efficiency. Reflection In future versions, we plan to add SMS and WhatsApp notifications, online appointment booking, multi-doctor support, AI-based wait-time prediction, and advanced analytics. These enhancements will further improve patient experience and hospital efficiency.

Ambula Care - Doctor Appointment Booking System

Patients often face difficulty booking doctor appointments because the process depends on phone calls, WhatsApp messages, or manual registers. This creates confusion, unavailable slot issues, and chances of double booking. Doctors also need a simple dashboard to view today’s appointments, patient health summaries, consultation notes, prescriptions, and blocked slots. I first broke the project into two user flows: patient booking and doctor consultation management. On the patient side, I built doctor search, doctor profile, slot selection, booking form, health summary, and unique Booking ID generation. On the doctor side, I added secure login, today’s appointment dashboard, diagnosis notes, prescription, and slot blocking. I connected the frontend with a Node.js and Express backend, used MongoDB Atlas for storing data, and deployed the frontend on Netlify and backend on Render. I also handled double-booking prevention at the backend/database level using a unique doctor-date-time slot constraint. The final project is a live full-stack healthcare booking platform. Patients can search doctors, book appointments, and receive a unique Booking ID. Doctors can log in, view appointments, check health summaries, save consultation notes, write prescriptions, and block unavailable slots. The system shows 7 days of doctor slot availability and prevents duplicate bookings for the same doctor and time slot. With more time, I would improve the UI further, add patient login, SMS/email reminders, online payment, admin panel, and complete patient medical history. I would also add more real-world testing with users to improve the booking experience and make the doctor dashboard more advanced.
