Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Wooble platform ("Platform"), operated by Wooble Software Private Limited ("Wooble," "we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated under the laws of India.

Wooble is a talent discovery platform for technology professionals that connects early-career tech talent with companies through hackathons, structured project portfolios, and skills-based hiring.

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

To use the Platform, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years of age. If you are between 16 and 18, you represent that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Platform.
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information updated.
  • Not have been previously suspended or removed from the Platform.
  • Not use the Platform for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms.

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

You may create an account using an email address and password, or by authenticating through Google or LinkedIn OAuth.

3.2 Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

  • Not share your account credentials with any other person.
  • Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • Not create more than one account per individual.

Wooble is not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account.

4. Platform Services

Wooble provides the following services, which may evolve over time:

  • Profile and Portfolio: Users can create professional profiles featuring structured project portfolios to showcase their skills and capabilities.
  • Hackathons: Wooble hosts and facilitates hackathons directly or in partnership with companies and colleges.
  • Talent Discovery: Hiring partner companies can discover and connect with users based on profiles, portfolios, and hackathon performance.
  • Learning Resources: Wooble may offer curated learning content.
  • Wooble Pro: A premium membership tier with additional features and benefits.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice.

5. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

5.1 Expected Conduct

You agree to use the Platform in good faith, interact respectfully with others, and contribute genuine, original work.

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Misrepresent your identity or credentials.
  • Create fake or duplicate profiles.
  • Submit plagiarized, copied, or fraudulent work.
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users, partners, or Wooble staff.
  • Spam users or organizations with unsolicited messages.
  • Scrape or crawl platform data without prior written consent.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems.
  • Reverse-engineer platform technology.
  • Upload malicious content, including malware.
  • Violate any applicable law in connection with the Platform.

Wooble reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, what constitutes a violation of these Terms.

6. Wooble Pro - Paid Subscription

6.1 Subscription

Wooble Pro is a premium membership tier. By subscribing, you agree to the pricing and terms presented at purchase.

6.2 Payment

All payments are processed through Razorpay. Wooble does not store payment card or banking details.

6.3 Refund Policy

Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact [email protected] with your reason for review.

6.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your Wooble Pro subscription at any time through your account settings.

6.5 Changes to Pricing

Wooble may modify subscription pricing with advance notice to existing subscribers.

7. Hackathon Terms

7.1 Participation

By participating in a hackathon, you agree to both these general terms and any hackathon-specific rules.

7.2 Eligibility

Eligibility criteria will be specified on each hackathon page.

7.3 Original Work

Submissions must be the original work of the participant or team, subject to event-specific rules.

7.4 Plagiarism and Cheating

Wooble has a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism, cheating, or dishonest conduct in hackathons.

7.5 Prizes and Awards

Prizes, judging criteria, and timelines are communicated per hackathon. Decisions of judges are final and binding.

7.6 Disputes

Hackathon disputes should be raised at [email protected] within 14 days of result announcements.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Your Content

You retain full ownership of intellectual property rights in your submitted content.

8.2 License to Wooble

You grant Wooble a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use your content solely for operating and improving the Platform.

8.3 License to Hackathon Host Organizations

Hackathon hosts may access and evaluate submissions in connection with event operations and related recruiting or academic purposes.

8.4 Wooble's Intellectual Property

All rights in the Platform design, branding, software, features, and documentation remain the exclusive property of Wooble.

9. Company and Institutional Partners

9.1 Hiring Partners

Hiring partners may view user profiles, portfolios, and related data for talent evaluation.

9.2 Hackathon Partners

Hackathon partners may access participant information and submissions as described in these Terms.

9.3 Partner Conduct

Wooble is not a party to employment agreements between users and partner organizations and does not guarantee partner conduct.

10. Account Suspension and Termination

10.1 By Wooble

Wooble may suspend or terminate accounts for violations including fraud, plagiarism, harassment, scraping, or security-risk behavior.

10.2 By You

You may request account deletion at any time. Deleted accounts are made inactive immediately and data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Surviving legal sections continue to apply.

11. Disclaimers

11.1 "As Is" Basis

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.

11.2 No Employment Guarantee

Wooble does not guarantee employment, interviews, or any specific career outcome.

11.3 Third-Party Content

Wooble is not responsible for the accuracy or legality of third-party content.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wooble will not be liable for indirect or consequential damages. Aggregate liability is capped at the amount paid by you in the preceding 12 months, or INR 5,000, whichever is greater.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wooble and its personnel from claims and losses arising from your breach of these Terms, your content, or your violation of law.

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

14.2 Arbitration

Disputes should first be addressed via good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes go to binding arbitration in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, in English, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended).

14.3 Jurisdiction

Subject to arbitration, courts of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India have exclusive jurisdiction for related legal proceedings.

15. General Provisions

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any hackathon-specific rules, constitute the entire agreement between you and Wooble.

15.2 Severability

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

15.3 Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

15.4 Assignment

Wooble may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms. You may not do so without prior written consent.

15.5 Notices

Wooble may send notices by email or in-platform notifications.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted with an updated "Last Updated" date and, where significant, may also be communicated by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes means acceptance of the revised Terms.
