Many clinics and hospitals still rely on manual token systems, where receptionists manage patient queues manually and patients wait without knowing when their turn will arrive.This creates multiple problems like: * Long waiting uncertainty for patients * Poor communication between receptionist and patients * Inefficient queue management * Increased confusion during rush hours QueueCure aims to solve this problem by digitizing clinic queue management with real-time updates, smart wait-time prediction, & live token announcements. Process I started by understanding the major pain points in traditional clinic queue systems. The biggest issues were lack of transparency, manual workload on receptionists, and poor waiting experience for patients. I designed QueueCure with two separate interfaces: 1. Receptionist Panel 2. Patient View The goal was to ensure both panels stay synchronized in real time so that any receptionist action instantly reflects on patient screens. I focused on creating a simple but practical solution that could work in real clinic environments. Results QueueCure successfully transformed manual queue management into a real-time digital experience. Key outcomes:- * Achieved real-time synchronization across receptionist and patient screens * Reduced patient uncertainty through live queue tracking * Enabled dynamic wait-time prediction based on consultation data * Improved queue communication using voice announcements * Created a practical and scalable solution for clinics and hospitals The system ensures smoother workflow for receptionists and a better waiting experience for patients. Reflection Given more time, I would further improve QueueCure by adding: * Emergency patient prioritization * SMS or WhatsApp token notifications * Multi-doctor queue management * Cloud deployment for real-world usage * Advanced analytics dashboard for hospitals These enhancements would make QueueCure more scalable and production-ready for larger healthcare systems.
