KaamID

KaamID was inspired by the gap between India's skilled blue-collar workforce and traditional digital hiring platforms. Millions of electricians, technicians, plumbers, machine operators and other skilled workers depend on referrals and informal networks, making their skills and experience difficult to discover and verify.

KaamID creates a trusted digital work identity where workers can showcase their skills, experience, certifications and references, while employers can discover relevant verified workers, post jobs, evaluate match scores and manage candidates through a recruitment pipeline.

I built the platform as a full-stack web application with a worker experience, employer experience and recruitment dashboard. The main challenge was designing a simple workflow that serves both sides of the hiring process while keeping verification, matching and recruitment status visible and understandable.

What I learned

This project taught me how to design a complete two-sided recruitment workflow rather than just a job board. I learned how worker profiles, verification, job matching, applications and employer hiring decisions need to connect through a persistent backend. I also learned the importance of designing for clarity and accessibility when building technology for a diverse workforce.
