About this role

The Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), a premier institute under the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), invites eligible students to apply for its External Student Internship Programme. The internship provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students in Science and Technology disciplines an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to research and projects carried out at one of India's leading space research institutions. Internships are offered based on the availability of projects, facilities, and faculty supervision. Students work under the guidance of IIRS scientists and researchers, gaining practical exposure to remote sensing, geospatial technologies, Earth observation, GIS, and other research areas aligned with the institute's ongoing work. On Wooble, document your complete internship journey—from your application preparation, learning objectives, research notes, project progress, technical documentation, presentations, and final reflections. Receive expert feedback, strengthen your portfolio, and create verifiable proof of your research experience alongside your official internship. Wooble independently surfaces this opportunity to help students discover high-quality research experiences and document their work. Official applications, selection, internship allocation, supervision, and certification are managed solely by IIRS / ISRO.
