Five questions from the ops channel

The brief

Tokri delivers groceries in about ten minutes from dark stores in Indian cities. In your first week as its analyst, five people have each left a question in the ops channel: a store lead, a category manager, growth, finance and customer experience.

Answer all five from the company's order data. Each needs a join, a filter on time or a grouping. Each person says why they are asking, so the number is not the whole answer: tell them what it means for them.

You get your own copy of the data and your own five questions. SQL is the expected tool (DuckDB or SQLite run on any laptop); pandas is fine too.

When you start, you get the company's files to download, made for you: nobody else has the same numbers.

What to hand in

  • Your five answers, in the boxes on this page
  • The query behind each answer
  • One or two sentences to each person on what the number means for them

You hand it in as a project on Wooble: what you made, shown working, and a written account of how you made it. A link on its own is not enough.
