Orders fell last week. Why?
The brief
Tokri's co-founder opens the dashboard on Monday and Bengaluru orders are down on the week before. The board meets on Thursday. He needs to know what happened, whether it is still happening, and what to do about it.
You get twelve weeks of Tokri's Bengaluru data: orders, what was in them, customers, stores, and the app's own event counts. Something real is behind the number, and a week is full of things that look like causes but aren't. Find the one that is, show the cut of the data that proves it, and say what you ruled out.
Then write the reply he reads on his phone: what happened, is it still happening, what to do.
When you start, you get the company's files to download, and one of a few versions of what is going on in them.
What to hand in
- The reply to the founder: five to ten lines
- The one chart or table that proves the cause, and how much of the drop it explains
- What else you checked and ruled out, and how
- Your working: queries or a notebook
You hand it in as a project on Wooble: what you made, shown working, and a written account of how you made it. A link on its own is not enough.
Free, and always open. Start when you like and hand in when it is ready.
