About the Project

This project focused on optimizing the e-commerce checkout process for an online retail platform to reduce cart abandonment. By conducting user interviews, analyzing heatmaps, and studying analytics, I identified several friction points in the checkout flow, such as unnecessary steps, confusing form fields, and a lack of trust signals during payment processing. To improve the experience, I implemented a streamlined checkout process with fewer steps, added progress indicators, and introduced clearer calls to action. I also incorporated trust signals like security badges and payment options to reduce friction during checkout. I used Sketch and InVision to create wireframes and prototypes, and after usability testing, we saw a 15% reduction in cart abandonment. The final product delivered a smoother, more efficient shopping experience for users, increasing the platform's conversion rate by 12%.
