Vendor contracts.
Compliance certificates.
Safety training records.
Insurance policies.
Machine inspection reports.
Government licenses.
Every document has one thing in common:
An expiry date.
The problem is that most companies still track these dates in Excel sheets, emails, shared folders, or physical files.
Nobody checks them regularly.
Then one day a manager discovers that:
A vendor contract has expired. A compliance certificate was not renewed. An audit document is missing. An inspection deadline was missed.
The result can be penalties, operational delays, failed audits, and unnecessary fire-fighting.
A manager should not have to search through spreadsheets to understand what needs attention.
They should be able to open one screen and instantly know:

Your challenge is to build a simple web application that helps companies track important records and stay ahead of expiry dates.
The goal is not to build a document storage platform.
The goal is to ensure that critical business records never expire unnoticed.
Deliverables
- Record Management - Allow users to add and manage records with a name, category, and expiry date.
- Expiry Tracking: Automatically classify records as Active, Expiring Soon, or Expired.
- Dashboard : Provide a simple view showing overall document status and upcoming renewals.
- Search & Visibility : Allow users to quickly find records and identify items requiring attention.
- Submission - Working Prototype (Live Link preferred) + GitHub Repository + Short Thought Process Sheet + A video explanation helpful for companies to shortlist!
