Build the Future of Blue-Collar Hiring. ⭐
Evaluation only · Open
Build a full-stack recruitment platform that helps blue-collar workers create trusted digital identities while enabling employers to discover, verify, and hire skilled talent faster. Design a scalable solution featuring worker and employer portals, recruitment dashboards, and intelligent hiring workflows that bridge the gap between opportunity and employment.
Overview
Somewhere right now, a foreman is calling multiple contractors trying to find an electrician who actually shows up. A skilled machine operator with years of experience is scrolling through WhatsApp groups hoping someone forwards a job opportunity. While professionals in white-collar industries have platforms like LinkedIn to showcase their work and build credibility, millions of blue-collar workers still depend on referrals, word of mouth, and luck. Employers face the same challenge from the other side. Manufacturing companies, logistics providers, construction firms, and service businesses struggle to identify, verify, and hire skilled workers quickly. The recruitment process is slow, fragmented, and largely manual, resulting in delayed hiring, unverified candidates, and missed opportunities for both employers and workers. Workforce Connect '26 challenges participants to build a modern, full-stack recruitment platform that empowers blue-collar workers with trusted digital identities while enabling employers to discover, verify, and hire talent efficiently. The solution should include dedicated worker and employer portals, recruitment dashboards, and intelligent workflows that make hiring faster, more transparent, and more accessible for everyone involved.
The brief
Millions of blue-collar workers, including electricians, machine operators, delivery executives, technicians, plumbers, and construction workers, still rely on referrals, WhatsApp groups, and word of mouth to find jobs. They lack a trusted digital identity to showcase their skills, experience, and certifications, while employers struggle to discover, verify, and hire qualified talent through fragmented and manual recruitment processes.
Your challenge is to build a scalable full-stack platform that simplifies hiring for both workers and employers. Your solution should focus on creating a seamless recruitment experience by including:
A Worker Experience that enables professionals to build a trusted digital identity and discover relevant job opportunities. An Employer Experience that allows organizations to post jobs, discover suitable candidates, and manage the hiring process efficiently. A Recruitment Dashboard that provides visibility into hiring pipelines, applications, and key recruitment insights. Value-Added Innovations such as AI-powered recommendations, verification mechanisms, accessibility features, or workflow automation that improve the overall hiring experience.
Participants are encouraged to think beyond a traditional job portal and design a product that is intuitive, scalable, secure, and capable of making hiring faster, more transparent, and more trustworthy for India's blue-collar workforce.

Frequently asked questions
Who is eligible to participate?
Only currently enrolled students of NIT Andhra Pradesh are eligible to participate in this hackathon.
Can I participate individually?
Participants may register individually or in teams, subject to the team size guidelines which is min 2 members and max 4 members.
Can we use AI tools or open-source libraries?
Yes. AI tools, open-source frameworks, and third-party APIs are permitted. However, your team must understand, implement, and be able to explain the solution in a video for evaluation. It should not be solely created through AI without any self understanding
Do we need to implement every suggested feature?
No. The suggested modules are provided for guidance. Teams should prioritize solving the core problem effectively and are encouraged to innovate beyond the recommended scope.
What should we submit?
Mandatory Submissions: Upload your GitHub Repository, Live Deployment Link, Demo Video, Technical Documentation, and any supporting images or media directly on the Wooble platform before the submission deadline. Optional Submissions: You may also upload a Presentation Deck or any additional supporting material that helps showcase your solution. No separate PDF submissions are required, as all project assets should be submitted exclusively through the Wooble platform.
