College Admission Portal

About the Project

During my internship at VisionGrid, I worked on the design of a college admission portal aimed at simplifying the application process for prospective students. The portal needed to be intuitive, with clear steps to guide students through the process, ensuring that it was easy to use for both tech-savvy and less experienced users. I designed a clean and well-organized user interface that presented all the necessary information in an easy-to-navigate layout. One of the biggest challenges I faced during this project was balancing the need for a comprehensive design while keeping the experience streamlined. The portal had to include various features, such as an online application form, document uploads, interview scheduling, and real-time application status tracking. To address this, I focused on creating a step-by-step process, using progress bars, tooltips, and simplified forms that made the experience user-friendly and efficient. The portal also allowed students to view personalized recommendations for courses based on their interests and academic background, which required seamless integration with the backend. In collaboration with the development team, we ensured that the portal was mobile-responsive and accessible, which was a crucial part of making the platform available to a wider audience. My involvement in this project not only sharpened my UI/UX design skills but also gave me valuable insights into how technology can transform the admission process, ultimately making it more transparent and efficient for both students and educational institutions.
