In this project, I worked on designing the point-of-sale (POS) system interface for a restaurant management platform. The challenge was to create an interface that was both functional and easy to use, enabling restaurant staff to manage orders, payments, and inventory efficiently. My approach was to design an intuitive layout that minimized the steps involved in placing an order or processing a payment, ultimately speeding up the transaction process and reducing the chances of human error. I incorporated visual cues like color-coded status updates, large buttons, and a streamlined menu for quick access to frequently used functions. Additionally, the system was designed to be mobile-responsive, allowing restaurant staff to use the POS system on tablets or phones. The project was highly impactful as it reduced training time for new employees and increased operational efficiency for the restaurant owners.
