Overview

The NASA Space Apps Challenge is the world's largest annual global hackathon, bringing together participants from across the world to solve real-world problems using NASA's free and open data alongside data from Space Agency Partners. During the two-day event, multidisciplinary teams collaborate on challenges created by NASA Subject Matter Experts across diverse domains including software development, artificial intelligence, Earth science, space exploration, astrophysics, agriculture, storytelling, sustainability, and data visualization. Open to participants of all ages, skill levels, and professional backgrounds, the challenge welcomes developers, engineers, designers, researchers, scientists, students, entrepreneurs, educators, storytellers, artists, and anyone passionate about creating solutions that benefit life on Earth and beyond. Participants can join local in-person events or participate virtually through the global community.
