Hackathons is where you find real challenges from companies and colleges and take them on, alone or as a team. Instead of a résumé bullet, you hand in work a company can open, review and trust: proof of what you can actually build.
How it works
1
Browse open hackathons and pick one that fits your skills.
2
Read the brief and the judging criteria so you know exactly what's being judged.
3
Register, form a team if the hackathon allows it, and build your entry.
4
Hand it in before the deadline, then follow your reviews and the results.
Features
Browse
Every open hackathon, with its host, the prize, the deadline and whether you enter alone or as a team.
Why it matters: This is your supply of proof. Each one you enter adds work to your profile that companies can see.
How to use it
1
Open Hackathons from the rail.
2
Open a hackathon to read its brief, judging criteria, FAQ and files.
3
Register when you find one worth your time.
Tip: Read the judging criteria first. Knowing how you'll be scored is the fastest way to a strong entry.
Teams and your entry ID
On a team hackathon, one person creates the team and invites the others. Every entry gets a short entry ID (like HS-4K7QP), and judges see that instead of your names.
Why it matters: Judging by entry ID keeps it about the work. A team's ID is its captain's.
How to use it
1
Open the hackathon and create a team, or accept an invite you've been sent.
2
At an in-person hackathon, your entry ID is on the hackathon's page: show it at check-in.
Hand in your work
Your entry is a project on Wooble: what you built, in a few short steps, with uploads and a story first and links last. Your draft saves as you go.
Why it matters: A project people can open beats a link they have to trust. It's also what goes on your profile afterwards.
How to use it
1
Open the hackathon and choose Submit work.
2
Work through the steps: what it is, show it, explain it, your part, then review.
3
Hand it in before the deadline. You get a participation certificate when you do.
Tip: Some hackathons run in rounds. If yours does, a later round asks you to hand in again inside its own window.
Participated
Every hackathon you've entered, from registered to placed, with each entry's status and your reviews.
Why it matters: Nothing slips past a deadline, and you can see how far each entry got.
How to use it
1
Open Hackathons, then the Participated tab.
2
Open any entry to see your submission and the reviews on it.
Winners
Placements from finished hackathons, once each host has declared its results.
Why it matters: See what won, and what the bar looks like, before you enter the next one.
How to use it
1
Open Hackathons, then the Winners tab.
Tip: Your own wins land in Achievements and on your profile automatically.
